User Impersonation Approval Flows

Today, we’re announcing an upgrade to one of our most popular features: User Impersonation.

As a quick refresher, User Impersonation makes it possible for your employees to start a session as one of your users. This makes things like debugging issues and running in-app sales demos simple.

This brings us to our newest feature: impersonation approval flows. With this feature, companies on our Growth+ plan can add an extra layer of access protections to their impersonation workflows.

For projects with this feature turned on, employees will need to submit a request that must be explicitly approved before they can impersonate a given user, along with a length of time they need the impersonation access.

We highly recommend turning this feature on if you’ve been hesitant to give impersonation access as your team grows (or if you want to limit the set of people they can impersonate) - it’s the perfect way to give your employees the tools they need to do their jobs, while still keeping an eye on everyone’s access.
